This little local hotel exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be a "dorm room", but it was actually a very small private room with a capsule sleeping pod. So much more private than a typical dorm or capsule, and crucially, no need to put your stuff into lockers and constantly having to go back and forth to the lockers. Nice bath, great location, friendly staff, and very close walking distance to the train station (4-5 minutes), and immediately across the street from Family Mart. Another thing worth mentioning - you can't leave your stuff with the office if you want to arrive early or late. Instead, there are big private lockers in the lobby that they provide which cost only 100yen, which is VERY reasonable, and which can accommodate even a very large backpack and daypack. Can't comment on the single rooms, but for a solo traveler thinking about the dorm, this is definitely recommended!

This small hotel is located very conveniently close to both JR Nikko and Tobu-Nikko train stations, so it was easy to walk to. We had booked the tatami style rooms and each was large enough for two people. Each room also had its own toilet. The showers were in a couple of private rooms down the hall. The hotel has a hot bath for guests to use on the ground floor so you can borrow yukata. We didn't use the hot baths which are shared, but having a yukata was useful for when I took a shower. The shower was very nice, lots of hot water and good water pressure. While we were in Nikko, it rained quite a bit, so it was incredibly useful for the hotel to have its own washing machines and dryer section on the same floor we were staying on. I managed to get all of our clothes plus our shoes dry for a few hundred yen, which was so convenient. Lastly, this hotel was amazing value for money.

The hotel is really close to the Tobu-Nikko Station and exactly at the opposite of the Family Mart. I booked the Japanese room with own toilet and shared bathroom. The shower room is on the same floor and opposite my room. As I am a solo traveller, having the room to myself is quite luxurious, but maybe quite cramp if there are two occupants in the room. Love the japanese-bed style and the room and toilet is cleaned. The hotel is about 1.3km from the famous Shinkyu Bridge and I did most of walking around the area. Highly recommend this hotel for those who plan to visit Nikko.

Great location - just opposite to 24/7 Family Mart, and close to JR station and bus station. Toshogu can be reached on foot too. A good number of lockers - you need to insert a coin, that you take back when picking up the baggage. We saw a note about breakfast option, that looked nice and not expensive - but we didn't try it out, so can't say more. And nice amenities, like kettle or fridge. Finally - a surprise was waiting for us: according to the reservation, we were supposed to use shared bathroom, but in the end we got a room with a private one.

Loved our stay here! Smaller room but we knew this going in, there was still space for all our luggage and a desk to put things on as needed. The bed was incredibly comfortable, enough to temp us to buy one like that back home. They provided all the amenities you would need, and the onsen was really nice after a long day exploring! Although the onsen was small it was perfect as there was never really anyone else there when using it. Conveniently located close to train station and easy walking distance from tourist activity locations
